If I've learned anything over the years, is this: Any great work is 1% inspiration and 99% perspiration. Meaning it's a simple idea followed by a lot of work. The worst part is that the first, second, even third try won't be perfect, a lot of mistakes will be made along the way - but we all learn from those mistakes and if the person in question really wants to achieve, the won't let those mistakes discourage them, they'll learn and do better the next time.
This collection of works you've put up showing the timeline of events, pretty clearly exemplifies this, and I can't help but bow to your dedication and determination. The results have clearly been worth it.
But, as you say, where to go from here?
That's a very difficult question as it almost feels as if predicting the future. When you first started out, you had a level of quality you were wanting to achieve, and you had a long way to go. Now you're for the most part there. The number of peers for someone of your talents is far fewer then when you started, so what do you reach for now? I wish I could help you answer that but that's going to be something you have to determine yourself personally.
But I would like to say that I'm definitely looking forward to whichever direction you pick.

well for me, it is taking pictures of places where you can't get a camera, because they are in your mind, that is what making images is all about.
other people have this thing about characters and emotions and i guess that's ok for them. but really it is how to make places by making things to make places with, to be in harmony with the natural forms and the gratification of living there. and then to convey and share this by making images, that is what has always interested me.
i mean i like people, real and imaginary too, but always it is places and the things that are in places, that i see and think more in terms of.
my dreams always involve places, and only rarely involve people, and even more rarely anything like anyone i know in real life.
i know what you are trying to show is your own progress and i am happy for everyone who advances in what they are able to do.
but it is the images of places you have made, and i hope you make many more, and of kinds of things in places, that attract me here to look.

It's breathtaking to see your progress over the years. I learn paintings from different people who willingly to teach me, I think it'll need an extra effort to make my passion on art and drawings to be advance.
Thanks for posting this x) It's always makes me excited to see years progression like this.

>_> Learning art helps so fucking much. After I started to do studies here and then it really boosted my pathetic skills. So much time was wasted before that.
Really encourages me to visit courses and life drawing classes beside school. The more you learn, exeperiences you get - the more is possible. It's lovely. Your improvement is a nice example of expanding complexety in scenery. I'm really impressed.

Wow, the last paragraph is the crossroads I came to before starting some things for the first time. It was a personal "get off your sorry butt" moment. Glad to hear you feel the same way.
You certainly have come a long way from the beginning. Your landscapes and everything are phenomenal. I'm not even at the skill level of your first image, so don't be ashamed of that one. Heck, I've never been on a computer with even photoshop running before.

Kray, you're awesome! You and artists like you prove that art isn't necessarily a 'talent', it's something artists work at 'cause it's what they love doing. Just like no one can write professional-level stories right off the bat, it takes years of practice, and the determination to see yourself through.
I won't say improvement is all work, but more about absorbing knowledge and know-how.
Knowledge, like how to stage the lighting, how to make the compo flow, Will make you better.
Practicing, the painting itself, will familiarize you with the knowledge, and make you faster and more confident.
reading books, watching tutorials, looking at art, they all help.

absolutely fantastic. Its one of my biggest pet peeves when people think that artistic talent is learned over night and they just give up. you are one of my favorite artist on here and I'm glad that you started from roots similar to mine and It gives me hope that one day I'll be up at your level
I absolutely love this. It takes balls to post the things you're embarrassed about and maturity to see past mistakes and learn from them. I go through my old photography all the time and it's so painful to even look at things from a few months ago. I hope I'm still doing that after 6 years and have continued growing and learning so that I can do this then too!
Congrats on your success! I really love your style!
I'm saying the same to some friends - don't break yourself for how 'shitty' you think you are drawing/creating - just go and create!
