Is he missing a claw or two :o?

on the right side xD? second and third toe from the left seem to be missing em. Or maybe the third toe has one, but it merges well with the claw from the fourth toe from the right xD

I think it was up.. although, it is very possible it is missing. All these animals suffered some abuse, thats why they are in this particular zoo. He could have just broken it too; i'm not much of a expert where bears are concered. This one is also actually hugging a Keg, and is sponsored by Baylor University. I shoulda got a picture of THAT. This is a big local irony because Baylor is a local Baptist college; and there students are more drunk than the School of Bartending. (i dunno what the baptist population of germany is like, but baptists are not suposed to drink for the most part.)
