My first try needlefelting...more critters to come! :) Herman has real cat whiskers (shed from Aske), hand-stitched thread details and cabochon bead eyes. He also has tiny pink pawpads and a black-tipped tail, not visible here (see my scraps). :)

Fantastic job! This looks almost like a plush! When you say hand stitched thread details where did you do those? The toes? Also how did you get the whiskers to stay in? Did you anchor them with glue? Or are they one whisker you threaded through? Oh I just love Herman I hope you continue your felting! (I'm working on horses currently here :) )
Thank you, dear!! <3 He is stitched in all his leg creases, just to give them more definition/contrast, and also around his eyes, in his ears, his mouth, whisker holes, and toes. (See my scraps for close-ups.) The whiskers were inserted as deep as I could get them, and then glued in place with super glue, and I chose the shortest matching pairs I could find. (Also bent and ruined a few of them trying to install them, but luckily, I have several friends gathering shed whiskers from their kitties for me to use on future critters.) XD
