I'll always love anthro, but I am shifting and reaching out to different subject matter much more now. Drawing only furry will not land me my dream job. Being a concept artist, or an artist hired by Wizards of the Coast (for example) takes variety in a portfolio!

Fully agree.
May I recommend http://fineartamerica.com/sell-art-online.html I am personally looking into doing some broader audience art and that place looks like it could be a gateway. For me, having *some* profit while expanding my horizons helps. I cannot afford to spend a lot of time on so to speak 'free' art.

These are so quickly done, that it's kind of hard to divide it into steps. The main idea is to start from the back and move forward. I make my main shapes with the lasso too and fill. Then use some loose brushes to texture. Crisp details last to bring out some elements.
