Vata is a belly-dancing fennec, in a male harem off somewhere I haven't written about. The original idea for him dates back to about 1996, when I myself actually took some classes. I drew some pics of him, lost interest, and left him to languish unnamed.

When I started the sketch site, a few old characters came back from oblivion. Vata was one of them. He got his name when a friend suggested I name him after an ancient wind god.

This pic was heavily referenced from a photograph I had lying around. It was just such a challenging piece of sexy, sexy foreshortening that I had to try and capture the feeling.
