any tips on doing a chain spine? I've been looking for a tutorial on how to do them actually. ><

My chain spines are really simple haha. It's just a thick section of chain stitched to the top of the tail. Heavily stuffing the bottom gives it weight and keeps the chain from slipping. Then the only thing is to keep the rest of the stuffing light and even.

So, if you don't mind me asking (I appreciate you answering my questions by the way) Do you only add a section of chain to the top pf the tail? Or do you just stitch it at the top but it runs the entire length of the tail? Does that make sense?

I use a chain at least as long as the tail, sometimes a little bit longer so it adds weight to the tail. Stitch the chain to the tail at the top near the belt loops and then let it hang down the length of the tail before putting stuffing in.

Depends on how long and thick of a tail you're intending. Not gonna lie, these smaller tails the best thing to use are actually chain dog collars. I prefer the 26in size, it has a good weight to it without being too bulky. Thicker tails will need a heavier weight chain to be able to move. Most hardware stores like Lowe's or Home Depot should have a selection of various chains you can buy by the foot.
