Geeze thank you! It's such a shame how small the fandom for Kamikaze Kaito Jeanne is because it was such a great series! (i own all the mangas haha)
Thank you so much for your kind words!! uwu
(im actually thinking about redrawing this soon because yeah i still think its neat but the art is old and i think i might be able to do better lmao)

Allright, this might either get uncomfortable or... maybe informative, we'll see!
I got to know Jeanne because of the anime version airing on German television. At the time I even named it better than Sailor Moon. Looking for German DVD releases, I found out that it's pretty expensive (80 euro) and that the company that made it went bankrupt, same with the company that took over, and... things are iffy. I felt like once I get to Germany, find a job, I will buy the DVD as a symbol of what I achieved... being able to pay so much for a DVD, right now that's luxurious! However then came a day when a manga podcast that I follow, namely Weekly Manga Recap, decided to discuss the Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne manga.
I've known them for years, I respect them, I know they're fair, so when they spoke not that fondly of Jeanne, I went pale. Fortunately listening to the whole podcast, they finished their look at Jeanne by saying:
"This is the worst magic girl manga we've read! And considering how many of those we've read, that............... doesn't say much"
"Yeah, it's not good, but it's "mah" at worst"
They said that the 2nd half stopped them from calling it legitimately bad. Still they did not find it compelling. This got me really worried that I might have praised it when it didn't deserve it. And so I got started rewatching the show, and I can't deny that I see some problems which do downgrade it from being the favorite magic girl show, down to being the 2nd favorite. Sailor Moon seems more solid as a whole, but there were stand out elements of it that I adore so much to the point that I still felt like the average critique it received wasn't deserved. So I read a few chapters of the manga and I must say: before starting, I googled for articles of people discussing differences between the anime and the manga. There people talked about what was said where, some claimed that the manga had more with the story, others said that anime paced things a lot better...... and yet noone talked about the things I've noticed:
-In the anime, chibi characters are restricted to comedic scenes, while the manga seems to put them everywhere
-The manga has the police officers comment on how pretty Jeanne is or other comedic moments, which pull out the seriousness from these sequences, which in the anime show Jeanne's acrobatic skills and are fun
-And while the anime uses spectacular sequences of demon's being banished with the pin, the manga sometimes resorts to restrict that to less than 1/4th of a page
NOW I do see how I might have just caught the wrong chapters and things are not usually like this, and even if they are, Sailor Moon is pretty different in manga form as well and everyone has the right to judge which is objectively better, as everyone can pick their favorites... but I would like a person who's familiar with the manga to clarify things with me.
I know this is a very long comment and very clumsily put, but I would like to know what the deal is, so.... if I can get some input from you then I'd be very grateful!

Hey eeee I'm still waiting for your response in regards to that older comment, but in the meantime I watched the whole series and, while still good, it's not as good as I remembered it. The thing that got me the most angry was the anime ending. The time given to the conclusion of the series after the fighting ends is less than 2 minutes!!! ARGH, COME ON!!!!!!!!!! I heard people talk how cheesy the manga ending is, but it's an ending!
