It happens more often than gets reported. There's a few well known cases of it happening in the 80's and 90's. One of them was touted as *the* case for proof of success for forced gender reassignment in children, except they literally did zero fallow up, its now one of the main driving force for changing practices of gender assignment of intersexed children. Hospitals are required to report on this (for some reason) but its been estimated that circumcision complications could be as high as 1:1000. Shits pretty fucked up.
