You are very right! The glasses do, indeed, make her 20% cuter! :)
The color and pose work very well, too. The background kind of blends in with her. However, I think her pose kind of makes the viewer have a sort of "Emotional" feel to her. Kind of like she is asking herself "Why?" or "I don't understand?".
