A little bit of a belated gift. Fahari's b-day and his and his mate's anniversary were earlier in July but I was out of town on the actual days. He works a shit ton, so we couldn't seem to find a day to get together and I didn't want to show him this or post it until I'd seen him in person, 'cause it was a surprise. So yeah. Happy b-day and anniversary, albeit late *3*
Both he and his mate are super straight-acting irl, so I tried my hardest to make them look super fucking gay (pretty sure I nailed it).
I'm not privy to The Bear's choice of underwear, but I couldn't bring myself to cover up that ass. So a jock it is. To my knowledge, Fahari doesn't own captain's underwear, but he should.
Butts <3

I referenced the bear's torso. But made up his butt and legs. The wog is completely made up. I drew that one first and it's a difficult pose I struggled with.
rukis gave me some pointers, and I got it in the end, but I'd had such a hard time which is why I found a reference for the bear's torso.

Though I'd like to premise, that I don't normally like making up anatomy.
Observation or reference is required to understand how anatomy really works and looks. If you make up things you can perpetuate wrong anatomy and optical illusions that your brain creates. People often draw what they *think* things look like rather than what they really do or what they really see. Continual observation is the only way to train your eye to push past illusions and get better at perception which you can transfer to the paper. You can't draw it if you can't see it.
I understand finding models is hard. But a lot of modeling can be done by yourself with a camera or mirror. Or simply looking for images of people in poses similar to what you want and you can always make modifications later or stitch ideas together.
Some people advocate drawing from memory, but I think this prevents progress. If you only draw what you know how will you learn the things you don't already know? That, to me anyway, doesn't leave much room for improvement. I feel like if i drew from memory all the time all my figures would always look the same :/
