Swans are easy to notice thought...
They have that black bit on their face that goes from their eyes to their bill. Geese don't. Well at least white geese don't. Canadian Geese have a mostly black face with a white patch on the side of the head.
But I'm pretty sure that people can notice the difference between a Swan and a goose... :/
