Perhaps there's a mythological creature westling league, and he's the champ or something? Would be cool if the Mane 6 did some traveling and find out about where some of these visiting creatures are from...
I will agree that Twilight isn't one of my favorite ponies... though I don't have any issues with her... she did time travel, and by doing so got me to watch the show...

well my trouble with Twilight is that she's a bit of a tension destroyer....she goes and reads up about something, uses some magic and boom-problem solved.
though honestly I never got the MLP hype....for me it was a bit of dull show and I wasn't entertained . Not that I'm against girly shows, heck I remember watching Sailor Moon when I was 7 and liking it for its campiness and art style.
