I feel like I should elaborate on such a vague comment; this painting, in particular, really amazes the crap out of me because it's so surreal. I've found it to be actually fairly difficult to paint or draw or otherwise create something photorealistic that looks absolutely nothing like anything found in nature. Besides what looks /kind of/ like an eye, everything else is beautifully detailed and yet completely unidentifiable.

haha, thank you. This was something of an experiment in creating form without shape, if you know what I mean. I'm not sure if I actually succeeded, but I like the results anyways.
