It's supposed to be ambiguous. A bride has many reasons to weep. Maybe she grieving for the end of her childhood or happy for the start of a new future. Maybe she is thinking of her homeland which she must leave forever, or thinking of her new family. Maybe it is because she loves her new husband, with whom she is finally united, perhaps after a long absence, or maybe it is because she has another love, from whom she must forever be apart.
