
This is a photo of the Hall of Mirrors taken in Herrenchiemsee. It was built by King Ludwig (Neuschwanstein - the Disney land castle was based on it).
The Hall of Mirror was copied from Versailles.
Before 911 we spent about three to four weeks in Europe.

...and got a huge credit from Prussia in exchange for supporting their will to unify the German countries. Thus Bavaria not only lost a lot of money, but also the right to be a independant kingdom.
I think he wasn't able to finish most of his castles, because he started building some of them simultanously. Herrenchiemsee is the most obvious, but Neuschwanstein has a lot of blank rooms, too.

Linderhof was his best - homey - castle. The remainder have unfinished areas. I enjoyed touring all of the castles, but I could live in Linderhof. Neuschwanstein has too many steps, but his Peacock throne room is superb.
I took literally thousands of photos. They are stuck upstairs and God only knows what they are under.
