Living with OCD is a constant battle; an ongoing argument between you and the demons inside you. Although most people with OCD will never taste complete victory over their disorder daily battles will be won and life will go on. This piece depicts a daily battle lost; a never-ending argument that torments its victim and immobilizes him. With help and treatment daily battles such as this can be won and the torment individuals with OCD face can be lessened or cease altogether. If you have OCD know that the daily battles you face can be controlled...by you and not by your OCD. You are in control of your life; a life worth living. You can defeat OCD and can live the life that you deserve; a life without OCD. Although for most people OCD will never completely disappear know that your OCD can be controlled to the point where it no longer takes complete control over your entire life. Your life doesn't have to revolve around your OCD. Your life should revolve around the Lord, your family and friends, and, of course, yourself. For those of you without OCD be aware of those that do. Do not criticize them and do not laugh at them for the "rituals" they may practice to lessen their anxiety. Offer support, encourage them to fight, and, most importantly, tell others of this life-crippling disorder so the world may know of its existence and severity.

Your welcome. God bless you too! If there's one thing I've learned about OCD as someone who's suffered from it for years it's that OCD is more of a blessing than a curse. Remember, God will never hand you more than you can bear and he knows OCD is something we both can bear!
Sorry for the late reply. I'm glad to hear you've sought help and are starting to get better. Getting help was the best thing that's ever happened to me. The toughest part of my journey was admitting I had a problem (so kudos to you for taking that first step). Once I came to terms with my OCD I was able to find ways to cope with it. Just remember that OCD is a gift, not a curse. It's a cross we have to bear but it's one we don't have to bear alone. God never gives us more than we can bear and will be with us every step of the way.
I hope that you continue seeking help when needed and that you continue to get better...and, thanks for reading!
