As I recall, this article was about a husband who signalled one thing with his left hand, while turning the wheel of his car with his right hand the other way entirely. I had fun with the silhouetted figures, but even more with the 50's tail-finned car & trailor.
Query. How does a turtle go fast? It stretches it's neck and pulls the shell along behind it.
The number on the license plate also has a significance. Who can guess it? (Hint, you have to be an avid SF reader.)

The hero Gully Foyle is the sole survivor of the wreck of the starship Vorga, designation number T-1339. When he's abandoned to die by a search ship, he vows revenge in his pigeon English "Vorga, I kill you dirty!" Surprisingly, he does survive, scrounging oxygen tanks and weilding kit to make an airtight compartment out of a small storage locker. The ordeal drives him to have ambition and intelligence he never had before, and he rises in the world of business and politics to eventually have the revenge on the ship, and more iportant the company and autocrats who own it.
"Gully Foyle is my name,
Terra is my nation.
Deep space is my dweling place,
And death my destination."
