Interesting story so far. I believe this is your first story not set in a modern-era setting, isn't it? I was wondering if your gods would just be generic gods or have actual titles and it looks like you've already answered that question for me.

Actually, I think this is the second story not set in a modern-era setting. There was another I wrote a while ago, but that's not really important. I thought the gods should have titles just to make sure they all had specialties. Hopefully that will make conflicts between everyone a bit more interesting later on in the story.

There will be quite a few gods in this story with a wide variety of titles. I hope that you do like them.

This story has begun on a very appealing character and inside an intriguing situation, though I would surely not want to tell you how to write other chapters I do recommend taking a look at some of the beginnings of Stephen King books and no I'm not a Stephen King fan haven't even finished one of his books for some odd reason, however his style of luring the reader from the first paragraph is a useful tip to learn from :).

I've never read any of Stephen King's books before, but I guess I will have to take a look. Those first paragraphs are always the hardest. Any tips to help improve my writing are much appreciated.

Hmm... well one way is to try to set set the theme and atmosphere using some descriptive and metaphoric language, this is especially in horror novels, like Stephen King writes :D.
