Have you ever tried walking around showing people your art or music randomly? You don't get a good response. Like I feel really horrible to ask a friend/person hey look at this thing I did that I put a lot of effort into and just get like a passing Hm Or ok..

Oh yeah I know what you mean, although I think I feel worse about imposing on someone to toe the line of being honest and also evaluating my work, like maybe they just don't like this thing, that's cool, it happens, you can't please all the people all the time, but they probably also don't want to be hurtful about it if they are a reasonable person and that can be an uncomfortable place to put someone.

So yeah putting stuff on the internet is the best. Please do not interpret this as suggesting otherwise.
