Finally I got to uploading this. It's been finished for a few weeks now, but haven't bothered posting it here until now, so... Yay! It's finished!
Single hand, full chainmail cover. Index finger is a little less comfortable than the others, partially because it doesn't have much wiggle room at the tip, but also because I didn't stitch the tip together like I did with all other fingers (add a little patch up top and stitch that to all sides). Still, it's pretty cool!
No real numbers here, since I didn't actively keep track of number of rings (partially because it's a personal project and partially because of the loads of changes I kept making). Estimated 2500 to 3000 rings in there, value around €18 of rings alone. Labour... well, I took about a month to make it including waiting times for new loads of rings, so I'd estimate around 30 hours including the 'how the hell am I going to do this' phase that comes with any special project, and the 'this goes here, then this goes there... No wait, it's the other way around!' phase that came with this little project.
No, I'm not likely to make a right hand version, even though a matching set would be 150% cooler. It's just too expensive in rings and time. Besides, these gloves don't exactly have good grip, can't even open up a regular bottle without special manouvers, and holding the bottle is even worse.
