I think this one took me less than an hour ^^;
This actually was drawn on Wacom, without any sketch or references whatsoever, I'm just trying to get used to drawing smooth lines. I'm still in need of practice but I like the concept of this pic and I hope PuZzy likes this pic as I thought he'd be the perfect one to draw ^_^.
This totally doesn't look like my normal style but thought I'd try something different.

Looks great sparks.
One thing you should look at is since the shading on the tree is on the left, that means the light source is on the right. So Puzzy here should have his shading on the left side (his right). Or if you want to delve deeper, the tree probably would cast a shadow over him as well.

This one looks very weird, really out of your normal drawings.
First off, the thing that surprises me are the eyes, they are not the classic and cute Puzzy eyes, they look normal.
Second, the form of the head at the upper part and the hair, very different too.
The hand is also very different from the ones you have recently done. Check your pics like Pika Bubbles, PI-KA-BOO! and Hug Me and watch the difference in their hands with this picture.
The front arm is misplaced, is that or the head perspective could be changed to fit. Right now, I see this as if the arm was just in the middle of the chest of Puzzy.
The back arm is well placed but I think you should have erased a bit of the line separating the arm from the body.
The background is good and thank you for keep using the idea of the grass becomming smaller in the back. there's a blue spot that could be filled with some clouds though.
All the colors are neat.
The tree is very good, still I think it needs wood details.
Well, I think that's it, hope it helps somehow.

Haha, yeah I was just experimenting here, nothing to worry about. I was aiming for a sly look on his face, much like bugs bunny with his carrot, except Puzzy is holding an apple in the same way. Puzzy is meant to be facing the side and looking straight at us, maybe the inclusion of his tail would've made it more apparent?
Pose and perspective still are things to work on that's for sure, do you recommend any particular references to improve on my anatomy? Just trying to be more objective instead of being my emotional self, I really do appreciate your comments.

*goes to check it*
I see, the rounder head, looks like the new pikachu style from Mystery Dungeon.

It's a very cute style for pikachu, be sure to study it.
I recommend to copy over it to get used to draw it, then you will be able to draw it easily
