League of Legends Contest Entry for July 4th/Canada Day
This was my entry for Riot's Contest regarding how League of Legends champions would celebrate the July Holidays. To be honest, I was just as surprised as anyone else that this one was picked among from hundreds of entries as one of the honorable mentions. I guess someone really liked Blitzcrank and/or Alistar there, since I can think of a number of entries that were easily better than mine but weren't picked out.
Of course, according to Facebook and public reaction on the LoL forums, mine was the least liked out of the 23 winners, or at least pretty down there.
Most amusing tidbits:
-A few people wanted to see a boxing skin for Alistar, which is mission accomplished for me.
-Someone thought I was Canadian just because Blitzcrank was wearing Canadian colors and winning. At least, that's what I think the implication was.
-In the initial voting phase before vote numbers were hidden, this entry was in 13th place, out of 15.
-This is my second time doing this lineless art style, and it took me approximately 20-30 hours to do all of this.
