This page was a pain in the posterior. Have i mentioned how much I hate drawing backgrounds LOL. I hope its obvious that shes on a tube train, although shes actually specifically on the met line new S stock because thats what runs from my town. so it might not be obvious shes on a tube train because those trains are pretty new.
I think Gems getting a bit confused, between wanting to be little and wanting a family to care about her, I suppose if you've been starved of affection the majority of your life and suddenly you find this little oasis where its okay to be weak and where people love you unconditionally I would imagine it would be pretty addictive and you would probably end up resenting the time you were away from that situation. Even if it is just a dream.
I think everyone who has a little side has felt like this at some point. I know ive had more than my healthy dose of those feelings of self loathing and hate at yourself

Hehe okay. I have to confess I am not, nor have never been a Londoner. I live and work in Manchester currently, and to us the tube is the pinnacle of public transportation (at least compared to our tram/light rail system Metrolink, which is slow and unreliable, despite being 100 years younger).
:D i live on the very very furthest point the london underground goes. we're not actually classified as london so we dont get to vote on what happens with the tube or london mayor or anything but we have a london underground station even though we're like 30 miles away from london LOL. Doesnt make sense really but its pretty convenient for the few times I feel like trekking into the big city. Personally im a country girl myself so im happy with my sleepy little town
My new house (I'm moving in 2 weeks) is also out in the country, though not as far as you are (about 8 miles)! Luckily it's on an electrified suburban rail line rather than Metrolink, so it's only 20 minutes to central Manchester. For comparison, where I live now the Metrolink takes nearly 30 minutes and it only 3 miles.

Being told no is a thing of love there. The parent cares for the child, they know they'll want the lunch more later then they do now. It about the big happy family bantering back and forth in love. Something I miss all to often and wish I could return to. Add to that the lack of challenges and stresses of adult life and there plenty of reason to want to be young again.
Going through this one again as I update the index, I think the background is just fine on this one. I not only can tell we're on a tube train, I can feel the train going through the tunnels. You did the background the right way, by which I mean the lazy way. :) It's detailed enough that we can tell what it is, but not so busy that it takes you forever so you don't have time for the foreground art. Also, you reused the background drawing wherever possible to save yourself time. There's no reason why you have to do it again from scratch in every frame when it's not changing and not all that important to the plot.
