I wonder, the fursuit is designed, to have that extra room in the area of the belly?
I also wonder... why not use a big round latex balloon, they're soft and squishy, giving a texture simila to a real belly, it can be underinflated to reduce the risk of anunexpected pop and take the shape you want for your belly
