Poor possum. ): My husband hit a bunny one time, but that was totally not his fault. It was on the side of the road and we were going like, 45 at night in the dark...and this rabbit just sits there and sits there. As we get up to it, we flash the lights and beep a little to try to get it to leave and it would NOT move, so finally, we gave up and were like, "I guess it's okay sitting there, we won't hit it".
As we get up to right next to this bunny, it JUMPS UNDER THE TIRE. -_- Stupid bunny. We felt really bad. It literally moved at the laaaast second. Guh.

It's horrible hitting an animal. I've already have had two run out and got hit (a squirrel, and a deer that ran out at night on lightless country roads.) Plus several close calls, 3 deer occurrences, and just a few weeks ago I swerved into the other lane to avoid hitting a white dog than ran out on the road during a blizzard at night. I'm glad I missed the dog, I would've felt really horrible if I did hit it, specially having to go to peoples houses knocking and seeing if it was their pet.

Coulda been worse. I had a bird fly in front of my windshield on the highway. It died twelve inches in front of my face, and left a smear. D:

its harsh i know but i had to hit a duck with all its ducklings in the work van an articulate with a cement mixer etc on it weighing a lot i know what its like but the roads where frozen an if this thing went over it would have probably killed someone as well as the ducks so ...
