The street buzzed with the evening rush hour crowd. Many people from all walks of life moved shoulder to shoulder in unison as they moved down the street. Only one individual moved out of sync with the crowd. Penny was the only one not wearing a suit in the business district of the city. Her new green headphones stretched around her head and covered her ears; blocking out all sounds of the mundane world around her. The vixen would never fit into their world. Ever since she was young she hated the idea of being confined to an office. But even walking through this part of town it was the last thing on her mind at the moment. Her head bounced as she rocked her body to the music fed through her headphones. Her friend Lawrence had sent her a new song he’d come across recently. The email it came in simply said that he’d stumbled across this song that he was sure to become a big hit with her. She scoffed at the notion as it was pretty rare that he would pick a song that she would like to that extent. But here she was on her way to work partially oblivious to all around her as she enjoyed the song coming from her mp3 player on repeat.
The sun was getting ready to set as she neared her destination. The vixen closed her eyes as the chorus hit again and couldn’t stop herself from dancing lightly to the beat. She bounced with the rhythm fluidly as the crowd passed over her briskly. A long unceremonious muted honking noise caught her attention as she opened her eyes to notice that she was in the street, not quite on the sidewalk, blocking the way of a car ready to make a right turn. She had slowed down while crossing the street. She smiled to herself as the shouting of the angry driver seemed to sync with the words of the song and she walked up to him. “I’m sorry. Kinda lost myself there. Here. You look like you could use a chance to unwind.” she said as she slipped him one of her business cards and moved around to the curb briskly with a smile. The man looked at her card confused, it doubled as a free entrance to a place called the Crescent Club. “Is this a nightclub?” he asked as he drove off, watching Penny as she continued to dance to the beat of the song coming through her headphones.
The sun was beginning to set when Penny half danced, half walked her way past the bouncer and the already long line to find the employee’s entrance. She was having a very good day. Quickly she got herself ready and headed to the booth overlooking the dance floor. “Good evening everyone. Dj Copper here and I’m gonna bring you guys the sickest beats to dance to for the next five hours. Starting with this little gem I was turned on to this morning by a good friend of mine. It’s topped my personal charts recently and I hope it tops yours too. Gonna get you all started a little lightly. Without further adieu, let’s get this party started!” she said as she plugged her mp3 player in and pressed a button on the turntable. The music started as a lot of smiles lit up the faces of the dancers as a lot of them recognized it instantly. Penny smiled herself as she recognized a familiar face in the crowd, her friend Lawrence was there. She read his lips as he mouthed a question to her through the music. “How many times have you listened to it already?” The vixen smiled and mouthed her response quickly. “I don’t know. It’s been on repeat all day.”
Here we have a face that hasn't been seen in a long time. Penny on her way to work at the Crescent club.

*Bows* I am very glad you enjoyed it. Penny has a very upbeat attitude toward life which isn't surprising considering her past. I discovered that song myself about a week ago and haven't been able to stop myself from listening to it for long myself. The fact that it came up in the stream while this was being drawn was too ironic not to use.
