I made this delicious cake for the wonderful  Kitt3ns for his 25th birthday.

There's actually two types of cake - one half is my 'Death by Chocolate' (a very chocolatey, rich cake that actually isn't full on sugar) with a Mocha frosting in between the layers. The other half is my 'Death by Velvet' - a rich, red velvet cake with a chocolate rose buttercream in between the layers.

The whole thing is covered with vanilla buttercream and then I mixed the icing colors and piped them onto the cake.

This was my very first time trying something like this. I've decorated cakes before but this was a new challenge and I think it turned out well for something on the fly.
