Well, to be honest, the last place that I thought I'd be seeing something pretty was at the local Wal-Mart. But fortunately, I was carrying my camera when I did. These little birds were walking around in the parking lot, and because they're used to a lot of people being around, they let me get pretty close to them. So here's a crow trying to find love in the parking lot.
I miss being out in the boonies where I could see all kinds of critters all the time. I've always been a country boy, so being in a city even after this long still feels odd to me. But finding other wild things here, makes it a little more bearable.

Yes, and one nice thing about them being so used to people is that I could get within just a few feet of them before they'd start backing away. I got some funny looks from people though as they were going about their normal shopping and I was standing there taking photos of birds in the parking lot. *laughs* Still, it was fun. A little distraction from the norm. I might have to go back there with my tripod and do some low ISO shooting to see if I can get some really good photos. Crows down here are very shiny, more so than ones up north where I used to live.
Yeah, there is that too. There's even a McDonalds in there, so I'm sure they get plenty of left overs.
I've been going through my photos and putting some of them up here, though, I've been really busy lately, and haven't had the time to post like I want to. But I'm hoping to remedy that soon. Thank you very much for the compliment and the watch!
