They're originally from Italy, but they're still not to popular there. I would say they are semi-rare, you for sure don't see them walking down the street. I've never actually met a good Corso breeder here in AZ, they often just look like really fat pit bulls. xD But, they just got accepted to the AKC last year I think, so their number is steadily growing. :D
