The bonnethead shark is a harmless tropical shark that typically swims in small groups of 5 to 15 individuals. It primarily eats crustaceans, consisting mostly of blue crabs, but also shrimp, mollusks and small fish. It also seems seagrasses can be included in their diet. On average they are 0.91-1.5m (3–5 ft) long.
They are a negatively boyant species, so they will actually sink if they don't keep on swimming. Bonnetheads are also viviparous, producing eggs that stay within the female until the young are mature enough to be released.
Personally I'm quite fond of sharks, and wish people would find out more about them rather than relying on the stereotypes.

And certainly not monsters. Sharks can be quite intelligent, curious and playful very much like dolphins. Porbeagle sharks for example are known to engage in play using seaweed, rolling around in it, chasing another trailing a piece of it and alike. Though of course one should always take care with and give due respect to any wild animal.
