Every year, when I start to anticipate once again participating in the unique magic that is Camp Feral, I try and write a piece, which outlines how I feel.
The last few years, I've found myself getting more and wore wistful, as it really IS one of the few things I have to look forward to every years.

I love how dry your stuff reads, yet it's incredibly poetic at the same time. It's like reading something Roland, the gunslinger, might write if he were prone to actually taking time to write something down instead of chase towers dark mages and such. It's not pretentious, it doesn't try to gussy things up it describes what is. I love this, it makes me wish I could go there.
Thanks,
And as for the dryness, it actually took me well over twenty years of trial and error to learn how to write like this. There's a reason why my first collection spans from 1985-2010, and the second one from 2010-2013.
The main reason, apart from the fact that I had two spells, from about 1990-1993, and again from about 1998-2002, where I found myself almost incapable of writing poetry, is that most of my stuff prior to about 2003 is really not that good, and I would never dream of posting it here. Prior to '03, I think that only 5-10% of what I wrote is actually readable.
