Meh, I started sketching something completely different and it slowly turned into this. In such a situation, you can either love or hate the result. I love the result. :D
I notice that I’ve been lacking in detail with these characters of late, so here’s something with a little more to it. Also, Mrs Lovett’s design needed some development. I’m still not so sure if I like what I see, so I might have to experiment a bit later.

Wicked awesome, that's how Sweeney is looking. 'Long as that's not me in that pie, there!
From your sketches, I could pretty much see that you were still working on Mrs. Lovett. Not to mention, you hadn't posted a color picture of her yet. Hey, you're still in the development phase of your comic. Now's the best time to work on design! No worries You've got the main character down pat! Everyone is soon to follow.

You know, it's so interesting to find such a difference in the descriptions. I know what you mean, I've always viewed Mrs Lovett as being somewhat older etc... and yet in the original story she is described as being younger/pretty and in many accounts it is said that she is refined/intelligent/cunning... there's quite a mixture going on, but regardless of how I have viewed her in the past, I'm hoping to stay close to the narrative. I hope! Hence, what you see here...
