Trivia: the working title of this project was "Two Skunks, One Bog" while I was penciling it. I ditched that title as it was too close to Two Girls One Cup, which you don't want to go looking for--any more than you'd want to look at "goatse".
Nei'chelle is firmly back to my style, (drawing small tends to hold back breakthroughs in art-fu) but it didn't stay that way.
I borrowed a few visual elements from TW's sketches for this series. If you've toured his gallery at www.wamserver.com, see if you can find them. I'll give you the least obvious one: digital shading behind the penciled hatching.

Nei'chelle's unease as she slogs in is very apparent, and the coaxing of her mentor doesn't seem to do much to alleviate it until they meet and get to shake hands at last. The coating of mud you've drawn is very lovely in this, especially the last panel. Nice and thick, with a good amount of substance and an even cling, again holding true to the Taral style.
