First and foremost, a lot of research needs to be done, second, they're definitely unlike any pet and require lots of room to run around, then the cost, getting shots and so on. It all boils down to common sense, but research is key, make sure you know what you're getting into before getting one and not jumping the gun
Hands-on experience can help a lot too, so if you can meet a fox at a sanctuary or somewhere where they're used to people, do that, plus it's a lot of fun playing with foxes
