First and foremost, a lot of research needs to be done, second, they're definitely unlike any pet and require lots of room to run around, then the cost, getting shots and so on. It all boils down to common sense, but research is key, make sure you know what you're getting into before getting one and not jumping the gun

Hands-on experience can help a lot too, so if you can meet a fox at a sanctuary or somewhere where they're used to people, do that, plus it's a lot of fun playing with foxes

As for actually getting one, there's info here http://sybilsden.com/reference/faq-fox.htm keep in mind that the person who wrote this may be a little frank/brutally honest, but she wants to make sure that people do their homework first. She definitely is a sweetheart, you so much as call her name, she'll run up to you excitedly. On top of that, she makes the cutest fox faces when she's happy as you scratch her head and ears. SHE'S SO CUTE!

That in and of itself is a very valuable reward, getting the love and affection of such a cute fox like her
