After the first embrace from you my senses knew
The look of love was in your eyes
and after we first make love our senses tingle to
The touch oh how we hypnotize
Oh, to get the feeling on and on
Oh, just to get the feeling
Jon and Vangelis: I Hear You Now

Umm, some misaimed attempt at imitating Heinz Edelmann’s style. Ah well, this can work as a warmup.

Jon Anderson's and Vangelis's collaborations are amazing. The former has been the vocalist of the band Yes, I like quite a few of their songs! Big Generator and 90125 are my fave albums but I should probably look into more of their production as well as Jon's solo work. And Vangelis.... whoa man he's like one of the electronic music pioneers and he's also made soundtracks for numerous things, but my favourite albums by him would be Spiral, Mask, Direct and The City. ; v ; they're incredible, especially Mask starts off so BIG and atmospheric.
Ahh thanks for specifying their better stuff! Especially with older bands like that who may have a lot of albums, I get really intimidated by the sheer volume and having to pick through them to find songs I'd actually like.
I hate to continue off topic from the art but do you have any more suggestions for Klaus Schulze's stuff cause I'm finding kind of a blah mishmash on YouTube but fell SO deeply in love with Macksy (THANKS TO YOU!) that I have a terrible need for more of that specific kind of music, real 80's sounding and whatnot.

Awww! Yeah, it's very hard to know where to start, especially if they have an extensive discography (like Yes, goddamn). You can also check out some Vangelis compilations.
Oh and on Klaus Schulze, there's his soundtrack for Angst, otherwise unfortunately they're quite different from his usual work, HOWEVER, Tangerine Dream (a band he used to be a member of), especially their 80s to early 90s works (Exit, Optical Race, White Eagle and Melrose for instance), may have a similar feel to Macksy!
Klaus Schulze's music is ... quite moody and ambient, I like the albums Miditerranian Pads and Audentity. You can check out a collection like The Essential 72–93 for some idea about how his work can be like.
A few choice bits from Tangerine Dream:

Logos Part One (b): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zm5LQDyUj-c
Charly the Kid (from the soundtrack of Firestarter): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72hgAwUZ_ZM
Not sure if you were looking for that specific kind of sound or such, but yeah asfdsg.
God I ramble a lot, haha.

I'm on mobile so I will be giving those a listen later but yes I've been really wanting that super classic and signature 80's and early 90's sound, so I'm really excited to hear all these. I am so glad to be following you more closely now, you've got such an incredible taste in music and I've been looking for new stuff like this for a long time.
I wish I had some suggestions to offer in return that fit the same sort of general sound! Closest I've got is an instrumental band another friend got me into called Hammock. Pretty much everything in their discography is great, and 90% of my sleep playlist is their stuff. But they have pretty much a completely different feel to them, though it's still technically ambient?
Also no way do you ramble too much. Please ramble more. *v*

Giving them a listen!
Oh and on the topic of 80s sound, I've been listening to some Laser Dance lately, especially Discovery Trip, it's like. 80s disco, but wow it sounds incredible.
And that makes me think of soundtracks, I'm a huge fan of Jan Hammer's (known for Crockett's Theme, for instance) and Harold Faltermeyer's work, sadly I find it hard to name any other of 80s soundtrack artists, but looking up some 80s movies might help bring up some signature music from the decade. ANYWAY back to Harold Faltermeyer, there's Beverly Hills Cop, Fletch, The Running Man (wow especially the Sub-Zero themes are amazing. the movie was underwhelming haha), and he's also made music for other artists, for instance, I really like E.G. Daily's "Love In The Shadows", hahaha.

Oh jeez I am gonna have a lot of stuff to look up tomorrow. This is great. I feel terrible for not knowing about this stuff before now. makes me want to look up more like George Michaels too because holy wow that saxophone. I'm hoping some of these tracks have some killer saxophone crooning in them, cause that pretty much sums up 80s romance flicks for me and jfc do I love some cheesy 80s romance
god I love synth piano ballads, they just sound so CHEESY yet I love them to pieces aaaaa.

Just got around to listening to these and yes oh god yes this is the exact sound I wanted.
I'll be looking into the rest of those Tangerine Dream albums now. And even if Schulze's solo stuff is a little different from what I was looking for, I'll give those two you suggested a try. :3

Oh and funny story, I originally heard Macksy on a radio show (named "Space Junk") that played miscellaneous electronic music, back in 2002 or 2003. There was an 80s night once and wow damn I taped miscellaneous things, including Macksy. I was a dumbass tho and didn't think to tape the announced name and title, all I knew was that it was by Klaus Schulze and I scoured through libraries and what have you, until maaaany years later I rediscovered in on youtube and god I was ecstatic xD
