So I've decided to boot the hourly commission system. Below are some details about each specific tier since I couldn't go super detailed on the sheet.
If you have questions PLEASE ask.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Traditional Pieces:
They are drawn on 6X8inch Strathmore Drawing paper
Medium is graphite
Price is based on the character complexity
I will ship them to you in bubble wrapped envelope pressed against cardboard.
Digital Portraits:
These are all flat priced and character complexity isn't accounted.
These work on general ideas, otherwise I have freedom over them.
Commissioner will only be shown the sketch phase and base colors.
Single Character tier:
Backgrounds can be included to simple and painted
For painted +$30 for simple +50
~The examples for this tier are incomplete there is no current
painted example for this tier
Full illustration tier:
Custom is exactly what it sounds like, your ideas coming to life. The commissioner will be updated every step of the way. Price depends on complexity of the idea and characters in the picture.
Themed:
The commissioner chooses a theme or themes from a list(Located below). They can choose Max two
I have complete control and free range over the outcome of the picture
The only changes the commissioner can make are to the characters themselves. the list may change often/get bigger/smaller/etc. they are based on things I'm interested in drawing at that particular time.
~Not all things I consider characters. Ex. if your character has a pet with them at all time, it doesn't count as a character. When in doubt..ASK ;D
**For all digital pieces a texture/color background will be included; so if it says "no background" then you will still get the texture/colors**
Current available Themes:
Steampunk
Dragonrider
Magic(can control fire/lightening)
Skyrim-Thief
Skyrim-warrior/dragon battle
Shadow of the colossus
Mayan ruins/temple/discovery
Zombies/death
Unknown discovery (ex. Walking on top of a giant sleeping dragon unknowingly)
Beast rider
Battle torn
If anything it was more for me. I have a very bad habit of underselling myself.
I had pretty much stopped following my own prices because I felt I was being too expensive.
Plus I have a very hard time determining exactly how long a piece will take me. So it's just easier.
Plus I've heard from a few people they like knowing how much they need to save and have a general idea of what things will cost. ^^
I just hope I priced things fairly haha
Oh man, some of those themes are so, so tempting. However, if we, say, have a Skyrim character in our real games that fits the theme, can we have some influence as to some details, like just requesting that in, say, the warrior battling dragon one that the warrior be wearing dragonscale armor and wielding two glass maces, or is base character the only thing we'd have say in given the steep discount themes get?
you can request certain things, like specific armor, but it will possibly be modified in ways that I like. Makes them more fun and less stressful on things being perfect. I'd like to say I'm pretty easy going about things and will always keep the commissioners ideas/wants in mind.
The steep drop is definitely because I will have the main control over the commission though..
Gotcha. The big things being pose and composition and such being totally up to your discretion, but some details can still be requested, though still at some artistic license. Those themes are looking even more tempting now, even worse when I can't 100% decide on which theme either.
I will say that I'm hoping you add either Assassin's Creed or Diablo to the theme list at some point, as I've actually been itching to get two of my characters done as Connor from AC3 and the Demon Hunter of Diablo 3.
oooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I didnt even think of diablo.
You can most definitely offer Themes, I wouldn't be against that either haha
Though I havn't played Diablo 3.. I can imagine the fun that would be haha
Was never really into assassins creed though sadly.
though I can imagine it and very well xD
We shall see then. I wasn't much into AC either until I saw 3, and thought the premise more interesting than it's predecessors. It was an alright game, though not all that challenging, which was disappointing. That and it never really felt like you ever really "assassinated"; stealth seemed to play a rather small role. It was okay, but I certainly didn't see what all the hype was all about with the series.
As for Diablo 3, again, also fun, but the end game grind got so boring that I stopped being inclined to play (good lord, playing through the same exact area for 2+ weeks straight hoping to find something even comparable to your current gear is tedious, especially when you need better gear if you want to progress. Never did finish Inferno difficulty because of that). The first play through is the best, then it kinda gets dull. Was worth the money, but Blizzard's micromanaging of the skill "balance" also got annoying.
