The sky clear and blue,
Gives off an unearthly hue,
Tis nothing very new,
To this planet full of Silence.
There used to be a lot of noise,
From the cries of small girls and boys,
To the final sounds of the adult’s toys,
Driven and fueled by Science.
If you but only listen close,
You can hear the bellows as the wind blows,
Or the soft chirp of the blackbirds and crows,
That sing out in Defiance.
There used to be many others,
Children, fathers, and mothers,
The dumbest of which fought their brothers,
And refused to listen to the men of Science.
The world is quiet now,
As I can tell,
Yet I do not know how,
Could it be something rose or fell?
Creating a planet full of silence.
Gives off an unearthly hue,
Tis nothing very new,
To this planet full of Silence.
There used to be a lot of noise,
From the cries of small girls and boys,
To the final sounds of the adult’s toys,
Driven and fueled by Science.
If you but only listen close,
You can hear the bellows as the wind blows,
Or the soft chirp of the blackbirds and crows,
That sing out in Defiance.
There used to be many others,
Children, fathers, and mothers,
The dumbest of which fought their brothers,
And refused to listen to the men of Science.
The world is quiet now,
As I can tell,
Yet I do not know how,
Could it be something rose or fell?
Creating a planet full of silence.
