Three out of four horror badges for
prowler7 of his capybara character, Joshua about to get eaten by the alien monstrosity from The Deadly Spawn.
Oh, this movie brings me back.... sigh. <3
I know you can only see a small piece of Joshua here, but I felt it worked for the composition. I hope you enjoy this badge! Argent's should be done sooooon.
These badges are only $20! More info here:

You can also check out my regular film themed badges, which are also $20! More info here:

Hehe. Oh wow. This is so awesome that you went with The Deadly Spawn.
I remember seeing this movie in the theater when it came out, and this image brings back so many fun memories. I love monster movies, and especially those like this one, from back in the days before everything was CG. :)
I love the way you portrayed this one, and definitely agree that it works so wonderfully by focusing on the monster, capturing that feeling of these older horror movies, where the monster would suddenly appear, looming before their next prey. :D
Thanks again so much for taking on these ideas and doing such fantastic jobs with them.

I totally agree- traditional stunts, fake gore, and props are always WAY more enjoyable than CG. I especially feel that way for the first Alien movie. God, if that Alien would have been CG, it would not have been as scary and epic.
And thank you so much! I'm happy happy you like this one :) Hopefully I will be done with the Alien badge. I'm just trying to figure out the best way to color a glare from the inside of a helmet. It's tricky! haha

Oh, I agree completely. I was at a horror convention a dozen years ago or so, and they had a life-sized Alien in a dark room with some strobe lights going. Seeing it standing there, looming above me at some eight feet tall, you can really feel and imagine the terror if it was real. You were able to get your heart racing, just thinking about it. You can never capture that same effect by just standing in front of a green screen, and imagining such a creature there. I guess this is why characters in CG movies appear so hollow and ineffective at capturing emotion. They have nothing physical to actually work off of. Real props, even if on the cheesy side, just makes everything more realistic. :)
Hehe. I look forward to seeing the finished Alien badge. I'm sure the coloring will come out looking fantastic. <3

Hehe. Yeah, it was awesome. A shame I didn't have a camera, but I had never been to a horror con before (and it was well before ever going to my first furry con), so I didn't know what to expect. I figured it was just going to be panels and talks, and merchandise for sale.
As always, there's no problem with delays on the artwork. RL always takes priority and you know I'm never in a rush for these. I look forward to seeing the completed image. :D
