An extra background was made for my earlier drawing of the computer science opossum. Through hard work and a strong talent, he was offered a professorship in one of the nation's top computer science schools. In the background, you can see the "Citadel of Knowledge" skyscraper from the neighboring university.

It's a reference to the Cathedral of Learning at the University of Pittsburgh, I believe.

heh! i was nearly right about the tech startup then.
what's he using there? looks like some manner of IBM PC compatible—a Tandy maybe—with a newer monitor? (i imagine you wouldn't see those type of controls on a CGA/EGA monitor, so i'm gonna say it's maybe a VGA monitor from the early 90s?)
maybe i'm overthinking this though, haha! but it is fun to play detective.

take aloo at the real one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leading_Edge_Model_D
Yes, it's a generic PC clone with a monochrome monitor. He only needs to look at code in his work, so the amber screen is easier for him to look at in the wee hours of the morning. I guess you got me with the controls! There should only be brightness and contrast up there. And no worries, I do the same thing when other people draw old technology.
