Just take a break, it's o.k. to stop a project and pick it up again. Another good thing to do is switch instruments for example plucking out a melody on an acoustic guitar, i cannot tell you how many melodies and riffs were initialy written on acoustic then BAM! inspiration hits and you're scrambling to the computer to lay that idea down in the piano roll before the idea is lost, its sorta like magic.

You should also come over and lay down some tracks when the rig is set up, i'm in fremont now.
