*L* Getting a tube big enough for an adult snake isn't as easy XD

Last year we had a garter snake about that size in the breeaeway of my apartment. Brave little thing got very pissed at me for trying to herd it back outside and into the woods so no one would kill him.

yay happy to see someone who didn't try to kill it. so many people do when they see one near their house :( makes me sad.

Yes, I don't get why people don't understand that a small non venomous snake that eats up pesky unwanted house rodents is a good thing!

The last time I killed a snake I felt dreadful after because I found out it was nonvenomous (it was a huge hognose). Since then I have taught myself to recognize the 2 apart. Last time I was at my dads, My step-mom and I came across a speckled kingsnake. He was about 4ft long. My step-mom wanted to kill it and I told her no, she wanted that one around. He will keep the venomous ones away, or eat them. Now she knows to use the hoe not to kill but to attempt to herd the snake.

aww, I wish more people were like you! I just can't understand killing an animal for killing's sake. I've seen pet hognose snakes and they were so funny, instead of defensibly biting, they bash with their noses which was kind of cute XD
We only have 3 types of snakes in England and because they're endangered, they're protected, thankfully. I've only ever seen one, a grass snake, once in my life which was exciting to see. It must be interesting to live somewhere where harmless snakes are more abundant :)

Aww bless! I bet it was going "You messing with me? Don't you know when I grow up i'm going to be a big snake round here, then you'll be sorry for messing with me!". But seriously, I'm glad you could relocate it, Garter snakes are so pretty :D

ah you use that as his enclosure? I have two of those containers its mostly used as their feeding enclosure for my snakes

Yes, he's still small enough that one of those large faunariums is a good size for him. I think he'll need something bigger by the end of the year so i'm sure this'll end up being my feeding tank too XD
