I've leaned that if you start very light with your colors and then slowly darken them you can blend even the most cheep set of colored pencils without spending tons of money. Still would be nice to have a set of 104 prisma colored pencils. If only my hobbies didn't cost so much. ^.^ I have to deligate my funds between four inrests.
Wow, I can't imagine how nice your drawings would be if you did use prisma colors. :) I've been usinc crayola for years and years, and when I got ahold of some prisma colors, I thought it felt wierd. I started digitally coloring pictures a lot at that time, so I still never got very far with them. :p
I thought the same thing with prisma. I've played with them a little bit but they are super soft compared to crayola. I use the same cheap brand and they have always served me well. *grins* I think people fall into a fad and think its the only way. But really they are just tools. Its the artist that learns their secret that best suits them.
