ryunwoofie. She also 'fuzzed' the lines where the fur color changes, I love that. :D Story by me. :3
There was a strange pinching and stretching sensation followed by a small pop and Tach found himself staring at the ceiling. Working back to a sitting position he examined himself. An armada of mostly eaten carrots surrounded him, and he weakly clutched a mostly eaten one in his right hand. He was in the same black t-shirt and blue jean shorts he had been wearing almost a week ago when he suddenly found himself a small rabbit.
It had practically turned into a yearly event, the strange affliction impacting a sizeable portion of the population. Nobody knew the exact cause but the effects were always the same: the sudden transformation into a chunky bunny rabbit. Luckily the effect tended to wear off within a week. Tach had never experienced it before this year, and on the whole he had found it a rather nerve wracking experience. Some people got to maintain their relative height and stature after the transformation, but much to Tach's dismay he had found himself reduced to a roughly two foot brown and white volleyball.
Luckily he had been able had been able to call one of the many produce delivery services that operated this time of year, as using anything in the kitchen proved extremely difficult due to his reduced height. Unsure of how much to order, Tach had picked what he thought was a good round number of food crates. The delivery fox had laughed as he loaded eight cold packed crates into Tach's living room, joking that he doubted such a "little guy" could finish so much food in a week. Tach had to admit it did seem daunting, as the full pile appeared closer to a house in size from his new vantage point.
He probably wouldn't have eaten much of it anyway, if it wasn't for the look the fox gave him on the way out. It was a look Tach had seen many times, a look he himself frequently made that said 'you look delicious.' Immediately after the fox closed the door a cold panic overcame him. It had occurred to Tach that he SHOULD look delicious, at least to his normal lynx-self. The sudden realization that people would actually find him perfectly edible caused a knot to form in his stomach. He was immediately drawn to the stack of food in the hope that nibbling on something might calm him down.
It hadn't worked, and Tach had found himself eating constantly throughout the week. While he had started closer to a volleyball in size, towards the end of the week he had looked more like a brown and white beach ball than a rabbit or lynx. Luckily the transformation back appeared to have returned him to his original size. Tach prepared to get up to begin to clear the mess of destroyed crates and carrot tops scattered throughout the room when a sudden sharp pain in his stomach rooted him to the spot.
Tach pawed at his stomach, which seemed to gurgle unhappily under his touch. A massive unexpected burp worked it's way out of his throat, and Tach blushed slightly as the sound reverberated throughout the room. A sudden feeling of fullness washed over him, and his shirt and pants began to shrink. Tach felt his position on the floor shift slightly and it occurred to him that his clothing wasn't shrinking, he was growing. A sliver of white fur began to poke out between his shorts and shirt and Tach subconsciously pulled his shirt back down only to have it pop right back up, this time even higher.
He sat in shock as his stomach continued to spill out from his waistband. His shorts tightened and began to move downwards, pushed by his expanding waist and butt. After a couple of minutes the growth slowed and finally stopped, although the feeling of fullness remained. He returned to a laying position and tried to rub some of the tightness out of his stomach. The smell of a nearby carrot caused Tach to roll sloshingly onto his side, and without much thought he snapped it up and swallowed it. A look of utter disgust crossed Tach's features for a moment.
"What am I doing?" he said out loud, rolling back onto his newly padded backside and continuing to rub his stomach. "I hate raw carrots."
