I don't know what they are. i was jsut drawing from memory with "Macross" in mind while in a moment of "gotta distract my brain".

Oh god yes. From the thumb I thought 'Raptors' but then I saw the underslung gun pod, and the canted tails, and the first thing that popped in my brain was 'Macross?'. The wings, LERXs, and gun pod are very VF-1 but the position of the tails and the whole cockpit/nose section more remind my of the YF-21 from MacPlus. It's a nice, dynamic pose, it would be interesting to see how i would look like fleshed out like your F-117 pic. :)

looking back more i see it.. at first i just saw the 21'ish look, but it def has some VF1 in it!

They seem to be. I don't take much note of the technical aspects as I do just liking how it looked, so this might be F22 inspired. I was also thinking along the lines of Macross, but the only real thing I was thinking at the time was "I wanna draw a jet." lol

Yes! Ace Combat 6, it was a brief passion for a few months. ^^ Then it got stupid difficult. =-(

Ace Combat 4 was fun. I want to get back into the series. I agree, after a point they just get amazingly difficult.

Ace combat?

Yeah a bit of it was inspired from Ace Combat 6.

Needs more Ace combat, they have such beautiful planes.

I swear that these jet's bear a striking resemblance to the YF-23, maybe? But nonetheless this is a nice looking drawing man, it brings back memories of many, many hours spent on flying virtual jets (And the many years watching real ones!).

I've always loved jets, but never had any interest in the technical side of it, the names and whatnot. I just enjoy the designs. Macross was the big inspirer though.

How can nobody recognize the VF-1 Valkyrie? It's not like it doesn't have a distinctive as hell profile or anything.
