I still get together with my second grade teacher, Mrs. Gouras, whenever I visit home. She's the first person outside of my parents who encouraged me to draw and pursue my interest in fantasy/fiction.

We were having breakfast at Cracker Barrel in December when she handed me a folder of a few pieces she had kept over the years. Oh goodness, I don't even remember drawing them! And I debated with myself on whether or not to upload them. X'D But I wanted to show you guys where I started drawing, long long ago. I hope these serve as an inspiration to everyone. X) I wish they were dated but since they aren't I'd have to guess I was around 8, 9, 10 when these were made.

Mrs. Gouras got a couple of students to look at a piece called Matisse's Goldfish http://www.henri-matisse.net/paintings/bga.html and draw our own interpretations of it. Apparently I was drawing long fluttery eyelashes on animals at a very young age. X'D
