“G-Glitch?” I asked.
“Yes,” said Franz, “perhaps that might be why you can’t remember having that weapon, perhaps it caused a glitch in your systems.”
“Perhaps. By the way how is Lex?”
“Oh yeah, he’s awake, but only just, come on over to his room, you might be able to talk to him.”
My spirits raised when I heard this, I needed some good news. Franz lead me down a few corridors of Tec’s medical wing, and we arrived at his room. Lex was asleep when we first got there.
“He seems to be resting now. I have things I need to do, would you mind watching him for me Alchemist?”
“Sure.”
As he walked away I remembered why I went to Earth in the first place, and decided to do another scan. One of Earth, and one of Lex.
Lex: Aura level High
Earth: Rift level Minimal
Good, now once he awakens I can bring the Rah energy. How do I do that by the way?
Suddenly my “visor” brought up the info on how to create Rah.
“Ahh, I see.”
Lex woke up at that.
“Lex!”
“A-Alchemist. Hey, you’re okay... that’s good.”
“Yes Lex, and now, I’m about to make everything okay. Just do what I say okay?”
“S...Sure.” he said with a faint smile.
I placed my paw on his head.
“Now hold still, this may tingle a bit. Just focus on energy in your body. Energy flowing into and out of your body.”
I did the same, and my paw glowed with a faint blue light. The light then rose from my hand and exploded above us, turning into many tiny bubbles, then fusing back into one and vanishing altogether. I quickly did another scan.
Tec, Lex, Earth, Planet Worn, everywhere else: Rah
Everywhere has Rah energy, they’ll be safe now from The Destroyer.
“It’s done. How do you feel Lex?”
“I feel better... what was that?”
“Don’t worry Lex, I just had something I needed to do, and it is done.”
Lex fell back to sleep with that. I left the room and Cat came up to me, looking rather angry.
“How dare you Alchemist!”
“What are you talking about Cat?”
“You left me behind in your train when you went to Earth! I could never forgive myself if something were to happen to you!”
“Cat, calm down. I’m indestructible, you aren’t! If I went into combat with you back there you might be dead now!”
“Still...”
“Look, I’m sorry, but sometimes my work will be too dangerous for you, I’ll leave you behind again if need be, I won’t let you get that close to death again.”
“I... understand, you need a change.”
Indeed I did, she changed be and fed me, after we went to where Tec was focusing his attention to. My train.
“Ahh Alchemist, Cat, I was expecting you, I just had to finish installing the interdimensional transceiver on the train. No matter where you are push the big red button and I’ll bring you back here.”
“Awesome Tec. I think I might need that soon enough.”
“You appear to be tired Alchemist, care to board for a nice nap?”
“Yeah, I think I will.”
I went inside and took a nap in the nursery.

Time passed.

A few weeks have passed since that day, and Lex was up and around back on Earth, as we all were. He was still on crutches as his left foot was broken.
We were at the space dock.
“So,” said Lex, “You really have to go?”
“Yeah. The Destroyer needs to be stopped before he kills more innocents. He is now unable to come here. but there are still many universes for him to ravage. I gotta stop him in as many as possible.”
“Well good luck.” said Franz
“Take care.” said Tina
“Come back and visit us again sometime soon.” said Lex
“We will.”
They all saluted me as I boarded my train and we blasted off. Once we were in space I opened a portal to one of Tec’s dimensions he had observed. A big orange vortex. I flew the train right into the center of the thing. And with that I was off on a new adventure.
