I haven't watched the show recently, but from what you described they seem to have gotten off the "big girls are big, masculine, butch brutes" train a little bit and gave her some more depth as a young woman. If that's the case I definitely want to watch the new episodes soon but I refuse to get cable.
I just really dislike the stereotype I described. It caused for me personally a great deal of bullying and harassment in my direction. It caused dysphoria for years that being a woman with big breasts and wide hips is not "feminine" and that I was just a big, ugly, gross "man" in disguise and convinced myself I had some hormone problem making me androgynous even though I never was.

I went through that sort of thing back in the day too... just for different reasons.
Anyhoo, it seems to me that they've made her into more of a character. They still play up the " gross " thing a bit I guess but, they keep Muscleman involved. Actually, I think they make MuscleMan the grosser of the two.
It was my intention to make her look cute so thanks.

"STARLA!"
I love those two together. They seem so...real, I mean all of the relationships on that show are pretty realistic, but Starla and Mitch are my favorite. I wish I could find that clip of his speech on that wedding game show, that they're not what most people consider the perfect couple, but that doesn't matter, because they're happy and they love each other. It really touched me.
That's some darned good writing.
This is nice..but were nipples really necessary?
