This is the first personal project I've done for a long time and I had far too much fun with it.
I've now participated in GISHWHES (the Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen, which helps support the charity Random Acts) twice. As I was getting my team back together for this year's (now finished) hunt, I had the idea to make a costume based on the GISHWHES mascot, a wolf-headed rooster and worked my butt off to have this done in a week so it'd be ready for the hunt.
The hunt involves doing a lot of nutty activities. It was mentioned last year that masks were an acceptable, artistic way to hide your identity if you were worried about doing silly things as yourself. So...I figured that if masks were ok, why not make an entire outfit to add to the humorous factor of the already nutty activities? Suffice to say the Wooster has had a lot of use this week. Hopefully I make the judges laugh their asses off!
And because I don't want any assumptions or drama should one of my GISHWHES items be stumbled across: Yes, one of the things done for the hunt using this costume was a silly pin-up where I was wearing pastry. No, nothing questionable happened in-suit while setting up that photo. The goal was simply to create something ridiculous and slightly unsettling in the name of charity.
