Incredibly, I'm more impressed by the dust in the air than I am by the hawk. Really shows how razor-sharp this is focused, and it adds a lot of volume to the negative space in the image. :O That really is a captivating stare from the hawk though. And the lighting in this reminds me of a Rembrandt painting. Don't ask me why, but it does. ;)

Hehe, as a bird-guy iam impressed by the hawk, but you are right:
Light is what does the picture here.
Iam alot in working with the natural light lately and search for it first, then for the motive.
