Story time.
I had a dream that I was a tattoo artist. This isn't so weird, because I was offered an apprenticeship opportunity a long time ago but decided against the career path because, frankly, people want to get really ugly stuff tattooed on their body and I didn't think I could be appropriately polite about it.

But in the dream, my tattoo style was basically... smoke designs that sort of metamorphosed into animals or objects or just sort of accentuated parts of anatomy (like one was smoke plumes along a woman's clavicles). I wanted to paint in that style but the translation sort of failed from dream to canvas because, well, in the dream they kind of were moving tattoos, which makes the whole 'smoke' motif a lot more believable all in all. I tried anyway, and I'm really enjoying it.

I'd love to take some commissions in this style, if people were interested. I'm probably going to open a few of those aforementioned feral paintings to be done in this style though, because I'd like to toy with it some more.
